Concert Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz, featuring rare materials from the Price Library of Judaica
Art/music played a significant role for prisoners surviving WWII. We will sing the music, composed in the camps, which helped these people feel alive, helped lift the spirit of humanity, and provided a small sense of normality in an otherwise miserable time of life.
Guest MC: David Snyder WCJB TV and Rebecca Jefferson, Curator of the Price Library of Judaica, with a small display of rare books on music and art from the ghettos and camps
March 9, 2025 4PM – United Church of Gainesville -1624 NW 5th Ave, Gainesville.
