Preservation and Digitization

The Price Library of Judaica endeavors to protect the physical integrity of its materials by means of temperature, humidity and dust control. Where preservation of content is more important than the retention of the physical format, items may be replaced with electronic versions.

Whenever possible, materials in the Price Library of Judaica are digitized, and surrogates can be accessed via the Library’s Jewish Diaspora Collection. Deteriorating materials may be digitized for preservation purposes. Original formats are always retained whenever possible.
