National Jewish Book Award for the former Director of Jewish Studies

Distinguished Professor Emeritus Kenneth D. Wald, former director of UF’s Center for Jewish Studies, has been awarded the National Jewish Book Award in the category of American Jewish Studies for The Foundations of American Jewish Liberalism, Cambridge University Press, 2019. The Nation­al Jew­ish Book Awards, inaugurated in 1950, is regarded as one of the most prestigious North American Awards Programs, recognizing outstanding literature in the field.
